As the winter session of the Jharkhand Assembly commenced on Friday, stringent security arrangements were in place to ensure the safety of lawmakers and visitors. The security checks extended to all vehicles entering the assembly premises, with entry restricted to those holding valid passes. Even the vehicles of MLAs and ministers underwent thorough scrutiny.
Both the ruling party and the opposition demonstrated cooperation with the security forces, acknowledging the importance of vehicle checks for overall security. The heightened security protocols were visible as top officials, including SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha, Rural SP Manish Toppo, City SP Rajkumar Mehta, Traffic SP Kumar Gaurav, and ADM (Law and Order) Rajeshwar Nath Alok, personally inspected the security arrangements.
In response to the incident in the Parliament, security measures at the Jharkhand Assembly have been significantly increased compared to previous sessions.
